Why does Travolta choose to rub cling film over his winky?
shareThis has been explained before. It's a nod to the original stage play, which was more raunchy. I think its a reference to condoms.
shareOregon is right. In the stage show, there is a scene that talks about using saran wrap instead of a condom. They couldn't do that in the movie but the saran around the car is a nod to that scene, and John Travolta snuck in when he rubs it on his crotch as a nod to that scene as well.
