Meryl Streep And Candice Bergen??

I just read in the trivia section about how Streep and Bergen were considered for the role of Julia, and Jane Fonda turning it down. All I can say is I am so glad they chose Steebergen! Using any of those women would have ruined this movie. Steenbergen did such a fantastic job, and she is such a better actress than any of those mentioned I can't even imagine Streep or Bergen in this role.

We don't know how the performances of any of those other actresses would've been since they didn't accept the part, now do we? Who knows, one of them might've won an academy award.
