This has been one of my guilty pleasures since it came out in 1978. I'm watching a download of it right now, instead of doing some other things that I had planned.

But anyway, that opening scene...

What exactly happened when the terrorists stormed the beach? Everybody's shooting each other. Who was on Cassavettes' side? Did he play the shooters against each other?

It has been a long time but it seems to me Cassavettes set it all up to take control of Robin and knock off Peter. What he didn't count on was Peter surviving and trying to exact revenge.
