I always got the feeling that there was a lot missing from this movie....was there a lot that ended up on the cutting room floor?

As I understand it, there was a lot of John Cassavetes that ended up on the floor... (the head, the sternum, the legs, the wishbone...)

There was a whole subplot from the book that was filmed and not used. It featured the husband & wife assasins who were a former movie musical dance team. They were the neighbors of Carrie Snodgress' character. They were played by Donald O'Connor and Vivian Blaine.

Hi Helena,
I sent you a private message, if you can please respond that would be great!
Thanks!

Hopefully.

They're working on a method of feeding the finished print back through the cameras, to end up with unexposed pristine film stock, that might better be used for some useful project.

Godspeed, Hollywood.

Well, you're rather a *beep* aren't you?

Will it ever be remade with Robin as it's main charcter? The Fury spends way too much time with Peter Sanza, Mother Knuckles, and the off duty cop with new caddie anxiety. I assume Douglas was instrumental in making it about his character. The most interesting character, Robin, re ermeges after 45 minutes while Gillian's mother and the other students at the Paragon Institute just disappear.
