Where is the mountain lake?
That's the one where Philo is fishing and winds up beating up the two LA cops who were trailing him. He later dumps their truck in the water.
I'm almost positive they were camping in Cimarron Canyon, near Cimarron, N.M., but there is only one lake in the general vicinity (Eagle Nest Lake). And that's not surrounded by pines like that one was (it's in a mountain valley east of Taos).
My best guess is that it's either Lake Maloya (near Raton, N.M.) or some small lake in Colorado.
