This one always had me wondering, the truckers at the diner who fight the widows..
Are they friends of Philo? Since he is a trucker I imagine they were buddies of his. I loved the exchange bewtween Lester and the widows. I think he calls them cutes of something.
i love all the scenes with the Black Widows, espicially when beats them silly and collects their bikes.

I would have to agree with you. The truckers are either Philo's friends or just have an animosity with the Black Widows, too, for the same reasons. All the scenes with the Black Widows crack me up, too. I especially like the part where Ma whips out her shotgun while sitting in the porch swing and starts blasting them :D

Same theme in Smokey and the Bandit where Cledus goes into the truck stop full of bikers. The bikers harass Fred (Cledus' dog) and Cledus gets into a fight with all the bikers. The bikers bet up Cledus and kick him out. Cledus picks himself up, gets Fred, climbs into his truck, puts a big smile on his face, and proceeds to flatten all the bikers motorcycles with is big rig. Classic!
