Do you think Walking Dead-esque villains exist Romero's universe?

Do you think there are people like the cannibals, Negan, and the Governor in Romero's world?

Both universes are almost identical. If you were to remove the "evolving intelligence" factor of Romero's movies (i.e. Bub, Big Daddy, etc.), they could actually co-exist since the show and Romero's films take place in different states/cities.

Between the two franchises, The Walking Dead has the advantage of world building in its favor, something the Romero films don't have (not knocking them, just an observation). While watching Night/Dawn/Day, I always found myself wondering what else is going on outside that farmhouse, mall, and bunker. We get some glimpses, tidbits from radio/TV broadcasts, and such, but it never really fully explored the undead landscape the way that The Walking Dead has.

Given that their universes are similar in many ways, it makes me wonder if similar like-minded psychopaths like Negan might have popped up during Romero's scenario.

Thoughts?

Maybe so. Since they flew away to parts unknown it could be on the other side of the country from them. It was only the beginning.

What do you think the biker gang at the end were?

Could be the wispers or maybe began lost some men before finding Rock & co

Or the cops raiding the heliport?

Yes , definitely.
With or without zombies, when society collapses people turn into animals.
In fact theres probably more Negans than Ricks.

I'd wager so, considering a lot of the human villains in Walking Dead were inspired by the human villains in Romero's films like the bikers or Captain Rhodes in Day of the Dead.
