Did the tv show "Damien" just reference this film for the first time?

In the latest episode of the new tv series "Damien" which tells the story of a thirty something year old Damien Thorn, while to this point ignoring the second and third films and seemingly being a sequel to the original film only, there is a reference in the latest episode "The number of a man" to a child who Damien messed up big time when he was in school. I believe they said the kid's name was Charles Foster but I wouldn't swear to it. Checking the characters from this film I didn't see a Charles Foster and "Teddy" sounded like it may have been the kid that Damien messes up in this film that I thought might be the same one and provide the first yet link to the 2nd film so far in this series.

They really SHOULD connect to the second film to this series more and maybe even the third though that'd be more of a challenge considering the similar ages but divergent circumstances of Damien in both.

That's why I've visited this board tonight, as I'm just watching the episode now. It's "Charles Powell" I think she said rather than Foster.

I'm not sure how, in this "world", Omen II can exist, as Damien clearly doesn't know for sure who he is, and there's been no mention of Thorn Industries, which a Damien from Omen II would have inherited.

As I was just saying to someone on the message boards for the Damien series, my take is that Damien has mentally blocked out large areas of his life specifically focusing on his knowledge of his demonic origins and the large death toll surrounding him. That would explain much of the non inclusion of the events of the second film. The third film could also be incorporated as long as we assume that the events of the series occur prior to the events of the third film.

I think they just genuinely have decided to ignore Omen II and III (and IV if we have to acknowledge that one exists!).

In effect, this is an alternative Omen II.

They may have and with the abysmal fourth one that would make PERFECT sense but the original 3 were made by the same creative team by and large. I could kinda understand them even trying to ignore the third one since it ends the story fairly effectively and many franchise reboot attempts specialize in opening doors rather than closing them so they might just ignore The Final Conflict just to leave the story wide open but I don't see anything in the second film which would conflict (No pun intended) with the story that they're telling in the series as long as you factor in the blocked memories of the events of it.
