New DVD being released on Oct 25

I really want to purchase this movie dvd, but I have read various reviews that the quality makes it not even worth buying. Does anyone know if the verision that will be released on the 25th will be of a better quality? If it will in fact be of a better quality I have no problem preordering it tonight. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a copy on ebay last year, from a video shop in Las Vegas it is very good quality. But "CONVOY" is not a movie for non truck lovers.
