REMAKE?

Is there a remake in the works? I see a "Convoy" (2007) listed on IMDB>

No It's not a remake. I checked a briefing in that link to Hollywood Reporter and it displays the same summary as this other movie. "The Iraqi Convoy Project"
Summary: (the story revolves around a group of U.S. truck drivers who make a one-year commitment to drive goods for U.S. contractors through the Afghan war zone because of financial hardships back home)

So apparently this version has been moved from 2006 to 2007 and possibly renamed Convoy.

They really should, but it seems that they cannot come up with many original ideas anymore. How many films nowadays rely upon CGI effects to make it at the box office. It truly is pathetic! Next we'll be seeing CGI actors.

Bruckheimer knows what people want to see, and in 2007, it's CONVOY.

I doubt that a modern remake would be a popular as the classic due to the fact that in the 70's people all over the world were into CB's back then but now its very much dying out I am a European Truck driver and I still have one hell if it wasn't for this film i doubt i'd even have become one! so I think this film should be left as a classic and not spoilt by a cheap remake! besides who could replace dirty lyle??
