After the fight at the diner and the trucks are escaping, is the actor Whitey Hughes the guy sitting in the truck next to the African American girl? Not driving, but against the window? If so, he's AWESOME in Convoy. So is the African American girl.

The African American lady in the movie is Madge Sinclair, she was a name in television around the same time as Convoy was made in a series called Trapper John MD. Her role in that TV show was of Ernestine Shoop, RN it that helps for you.
