Both me and my brother love this movie. We've watched it plenty over the years, and after watching it on cable this week I remembered something we never found out.
Is the waitress that Rubber Duck was about to sleep with involved with Dirty Lyle?
No I doubt that...I think I know what you mean though, the brief and embarrassing convo between Lyle and Violet with the stool.

I just watched this for the first time last night....while there seemed to be something a little weird between them, I just figured that Vi knew Lyle b/c he probably goes in there a lot to hassle the truckers or he's in the area setting a speed trap. They probably didn't like each other b/c Vi was friends (& more) w/ the truckers, particularly Rubber Duck and Lyle hated truckers & they hated him, so Violet would be on the truckers' side.
