Violets 'old man' who is he?

Violet, the waitress who gives herself to The Duck as his birthday present at the Road-House where the first fight started was married.

The Duck mentions him as the "old man".

She says "he's (the husband) just down on his luck".

Being down on your luck would force your hand to take bribes, and if you knew your Mrs. wasn't faithful and you knew the bloke she was fooling around with, wouldn't that rile you up?

It is not crystal clear that it is Lyle Wallace but when Violet takes the counter stool seat off, and lets him out from the hand-cuff situation. Dirty Lyle says "we'll talk later".

He says it as if he's the husband. (maybe father)?

The credits just have the character name as Violet.

What are your thoughts?

Also when Violet walks into the diner after the fight, Lyle says to her "Well where the hell have you been!?" which would seem like an odd thing to say to her in particular seeing as there were other waitresses present in the diner at the time, to him she obviously was not just another waitress.

You might be correct.

Her brother's name in real life is Lyle.

Coincidence?

Para tiempo means nada nunca.
