Violets 'old man' who is he?
Violet, the waitress who gives herself to The Duck as his birthday present at the Road-House where the first fight started was married.
The Duck mentions him as the "old man".
She says "he's (the husband) just down on his luck".
Being down on your luck would force your hand to take bribes, and if you knew your Mrs. wasn't faithful and you knew the bloke she was fooling around with, wouldn't that rile you up?
It is not crystal clear that it is Lyle Wallace but when Violet takes the counter stool seat off, and lets him out from the hand-cuff situation. Dirty Lyle says "we'll talk later".
He says it as if he's the husband. (maybe father)?
The credits just have the character name as Violet.
