Theme Song Question

Anybody know where to get the version of the song that contains the Texas Dawn verse? I only have heard it in the movie

"Texas dawn and the charge was on to the pits of Alvarez town
We had nine of our best comin' outta the west
And the ultimate hammer was down
Yeah, speed-trap city and we showed no pity
'Cause the whole damn place was a pile
We could tell by the smell it was trucker's hell
And the devil was Dirty Lyle"

"The 70s& the 80s? I've looked into it Theres a gas shortage & A Flock of Seagulls Thats about it"

I have no idea. The original song was written by C.W.McCall and they probably altered the lyrics for the movie but it was never released in that version. That's my best guess anyway.

The "Texas Dawn" verse was only found in the movie. Not released in any format. This was similar in the movie "A League of Their Own". The final song "This used to be my playground" is not found in the soundtrack.

First off friend, Flock of Seagulls was early 80s.

There's a lot more to the 70's than the gas shortage...ever hear of Watergate? Vietnam? Disco? Punk Rock, pet rocks? Jimmy Carter?

NO cell phone, no cable, no touch tone phones, and definitely very few computers (the main frames were as big as refrigerators). You were truly blessed if you had a memory typewriter.

You need to talk to someone who has LIVED through the 70's besides me.
