I heard Kino Lorber plans to release CONVOY in the US on blu-ray. I offered them the 100 min. of supplements that I produced for the UK / German blu-ray release, incl. the 70 min. documentary PASSION & POETRY - SAM'S TRUCKER MOVIE starring Kristofferson, Ali MacGraw & Ernest Borgnine. We will see what happens...

shareFinally watched it, junior. Great extras, and the movie looks really good in hd. Only the opening credit sequence is a little rough.
The documentary is fantastic -- KK, AM, EB, and others reminiscing about making the movie was nice to see. Ali in particular was very candid about her experience on the set (how degrading SP could be at times).
Anyway, hadn't seen it in years, and it was fun to revisit it again. I'll watch it later with the commentary before it has to go back.
Looks like Kino took them, junior. Here's the first review I've seen, and the extras got a 5-Star rating. I'm looking forward to this!
