Quick shot missing at the end? (Possible spoiler)

I've been watching this movie occasionally over the years and just rewatched it twice in the last week: on 35mm and the StudioCanal UK Blu-ray.

From past viewings I specifically remember a quick closeup shot of the duck hood ornament being blown off by gunfire, but there is no such shot on the 35mm print I saw or on the Blu-ray. Interestingly, in wider shots the duck does seem to disappear and then reappear again during the sequence, creating a possible continuity error. Perhaps the shot was intentionally removed or I'm just misremembering.

Anyone else remember this shot?

That sounds like a scene from one of the Porkys movies, maybe Porkys II. I just saw a 35mm print of Convoy and there was no scene like that, from my recollection.

Yep, I think you nailed where I remembered it; the Porky's shot would have been very similar.

Still, the duck hood ornament does appear and disappear during the end shootout; a very brief insert showing it being shot off in all of the gunfire would've made a lot of sense but perhaps it was just never filmed.

I also vaguely remember saying they used multiple trucks for this movie, which could easily account for the hood ornament not being there in certain shots, especially in the ending scene.
