Actress Kathleen Miller Dies at 71

She appeared in the films 'The Last Detail,' 'Shampoo' and 'Coming Home.'

Kathleen Miller, a character actress who appeared in such 1970s films as The Last Detail, Shampoo and Coming Home, died Friday in a hospital in Lynwood, Calif., after a lengthy illness, her brother Andy said. She was 71.

Miller also was in the Broadway production of Butterflies Are Free, which opened in 1969, and had a regular role on the short-lived 1976-77 NBC sitcom Sirota’s Court, starring Michael Constantine.

A native of Los Angeles, the actress guest-starred on such TV shows as Kojak, Starsky and Hutch and Cannon and had roles in the movies Stay Hungry and Fighting Mad, both released in 1976.

Her parents were Universal Television executive Alan Miller and Carolyn Miller, an actress.

Miller is survived by another brother, Steve.
