Jefferson Institute

When I saw this film the first time, this building gave me the creeps. Did anyone else find the building creepy?

reply

Yes..and I see it all the time in real life...Still creeps me out.

reply

It's a strange looking building with that walkway going into almost the mid storeys of the building. I believe the building has changed somewhat now.

Thanks for the link shrink54. It's cool to see the baby trees grown up. And to see the tweaks to the buildings over time.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

Glad to see I'm not the only one creeped out by this building.

I think a big part of the (agreed) creeping out by The Jefferson Institute came from Jerry Goldsmith's creepy music.

reply

I like the old look better. Wouldn't mind to live there.

reply

I agree. Jerry Goldsmith can make anything creepy into really creepy with his amazing soundtrack music.
Decades after watching the film, this scene is what stayed with me the most. The music and the architecture make the Jefferson Institute into THE creepiest, for me.

Great photos, thanks. I see they changed the windows and the trees make it less creepy,
