Yes it is. 2.35:1 anamorphic.
A very good picture. Awesome movie!! I cant' believe how similar it is to Full Metal Jacket, yet its so obscure.

Came on this board with the exact same question as the back of the UK dvd case stupidly doesn`t provide what is ,after all, pretty essential info.Never managed to catch this film but everyone I`ve spoken to who`s seen it(which isn`t many unfortunately)rate it highly. Thanks for the info!

SPOILER.I suspect quite a few people who post on the F.M.J. board are probably unaware of this which is a real shame.Definite similarities between the two ,including an appearance by Lee Ermey as the drill instructor, although his performance or dialogue isn`t quite as memorable here.Still I think I actually prefer this after watching it twice in a week. The film has better balance and structure with the initial training sequence and an almost seemless transition to Vietnam.I always thought F.M.J. was a much better film during the Paris island sequence and lost impact in the second part.

Boys From Company C is often hard-hitting and biting:we learn that one of the main characters proposes to traffic drugs in body bags.A vietnamese prisoner, befriended by the group,is then tortured and killed by a special forces advisor. The farcical side of war is well-served by the totally incompetent and highly-strung captain who leads his men into ambush after ambush and then when his men start a game of baseball, believes the "ball" to be a grenade and flees in panic.

There`s quite a lot of ordanance flying around(clearly the Director had some cash to spend) and the remastered uk dvd makes full use with a decent 5.1 mix.Uk dvd also boasts a cracking 2.35:1 anamorphic pic as someone has already pointed out.Overall, a superb film which is slowly starting to receive some well-deserved attention.
