where is the gate?

On the DVD commentary, the director says that the gate is part of an old mansion in Malibu. Does anybody know where it is - Or it is still there?

The gate was built as a set on the bluff above a surf spot known as Cojo on the Bixby Ranch just below Point Conception.

I answered too quickly - the gate at Cojo was built as a copy of the one at Malibu, once part of the Rindge estate. Its still there as part of a wall seperating the parking lot from the beach.

Thanks for your reply. I will check out the Malibu Lagoon State Park as you mentioned.

The gate was super-emposed for the final surf scene and the beach for the end was actually Sunset Beach Oahu. It's pretty obvious when you watch the final scene.
