Its like someone had an idea for a travelogue film with Japan as the subject then that project got abandoned and the studio shoved in the Bad News Bears.

Though there are actually a few things Tony Curtis said to the kIds that are pretty funny, the movie as a whole is terrible. It seems to be about Tony Curtis character and not about the Bad News Bears. ..
This is without a doubt the worst movie of the three. In the second film, BNBIBT, we learn that the winner of the Texas/California game will go on to play a team in Japan. The third movie ignores this, and comes up with a different reason for them to go. It doesn't really fit well with the other movies, and the team is missing too many of it's best characters/players. But, as stated, this movie seems to be more about Curtis' character than the ball team.
