Do any of you remember any characters that appeared in The White Shadow more than once, other than the regular characters?

I just watched the second season and thought it was odd that you did not see any of the new characters ever again (players, friends, relatives, teachers etc.). I think they should have kept at least some of the new characters for a while. And they should have introduced new regular players to the team in seasons one and two. I think that would have kept the viewers happier and the series might have avoided cancellation.

Another question: Do you think any of the characters learned anything from their troubles? Or was The White Shadow like The Simpsons, where each character changes back (to their type) before the next episode starts and learns nothing?
