Episode Endings

Two episodes that I just love how they ended them:

- Mainstream (with the autistic boy)

- The Great White Dope (Salami boxing)

In both episodes, they cut the episode off just on the verge of what is about to happen. Just brilliantly done, so powerful.

Another episode ending that was just beautiful: Sudden Death

And another great one: No Place Like Home

There are probably too many to mention. But all it takes sometimes is a 10-second little moment at the very end to knock the whole episode out of the ballpark.

One's I like:

Just One of the Boys - Reeves to Sybil: You OK? Sybil: Yeah. Reeves: I'm very proud of you...then he begins to approach her for a hug.

The Hitter - Gomez: Don't talk about love, Dad!...then he walks away.

Me? - Cool and Thorpe make nice.

The Offer - Sally Adams gives her closing TV report, "...from all of us, good luck, Kenny Reeves."

I loved this show. I was only 10 or 11 when the episode you mentioned "MAINSTREAM" was aired. That ending has always stuck with me. If he makes the shot it is a bit sensationalized, if he misses the shot it's too sad, BUT instead it cuts right as he is about to shoot.

This puts the emphasis on the fact that they embraced this kid who had opportunity to play with the "rest of the kids"

That episode was the first thing I thought of when they ended the Sopranos
