#3: I think George Wendt played an exterminator in an episode of Taxi. It seems like I remember him spraying Louie's cage and then warning him about when it's safe to go back in there.

Also fun fact: Danny DeVito was supposed to play Carla's ex-husband Nick on Cheers. Until Nick showed up, Carla had basically been describing him as Danny DeVito. It just never happened because DeVito's film career had taken off so he couldn't commit to doing Cheers episodes and a taller actor ended up playing Nick.

10. Michael McGuire. Cheers: Professor Sumner Sloane, who dumps Diane in the first episode. Taxi: He plays Elaine's boss when she has to get a different job

11. Bernadette Birkett. Cheers: voice of Vera. She also played Tinkerbell to Cliff's Ponce de Leon. Taxi: she is one of people Alex meets when he takes Latka to the shrink

12. David Paymer. Cheers: reporter who asks a question when Sam is dating the councilwoman. Taxi: Alex gets a job as a gofer at a play and Paymer is the producer.

13. Max Wright. Cheers: Jim Fleener, the candidate Diane is working for. Taxi: Mr Ambrose, who interviews Alex for a regional manager job in the episode where everyone gets different jobs.

14. Camila Ashland. Cheers: Drusila DeMiglio, the nun who tormented Carla as a child. Taxi: Mrs Sherman, the mother of Louie's girlfriend Zena.

15. Walter Olkewicz. Cheers: Wally Bodell, Norm's rival for Vera. Taxi: Jim's brother Tom

16. J Alan Thomas. Cheers: Cliff talks to him briefly about the wonders of Florida in the episode where everyone dresses up for Halloween and Cliff is Ponce de Leon. Taxi: Jeff, Louie's assistant.

18. Peter Eibling. Cheers: Murray Treadwell, the critic who will give the bar a good review if Rebecca goes out with him. Taxi: he is the translator for the minister who counsels Latka and Simka

19. Al Rosen. Cheers: one of the background actors who had lines now and then. "Sinatra!" "Pumping iron!" Taxi: was a background actor in the last few episodes of the series.
