Did Vera and Joan ever meet ? I have seen a clip of them online meeting but it is not on any of the box sets I have bought.

No, Vera's last episode was 224 and Joan's first was 287.

If you mean this video, then yes, it was edited to seem like they met, but sadly it never happened. Haha!
