Dusty's return from the dead

It's absolutely mindboggling that so-called professional tv writers couldn't come up with something better. Within 2 seconds I was able to come up with a storyline that makes a 1000 times more sense.

How about Dusty staged his own death because some criminals threatened to murder him if he or his father didn't pay up or whatever. They hired a pilot to jump out of the plane and crash it and then worked together with the authorities to put out false information in order to mislead the criminals. Then Dusty can't resist keeping an eye on Sue Ellen and they resume their romance. And if they were really dead set on making Dusty impotent, then have the criminals discover he's still alive and make an attempt on his life in which he is paralyzed.

So simple. No, it doesn't make sense in real life, but it sure as hell ain't as ridiculous as the actual storyline.
