what would your rank of the all time best miniseries?

My best mini series in no particular order are as follows:

1) Centennial
2) Band Of Brothers
3) North And South Book 1 & 2
4) Winds of War
5) War And Remembrance

As you might of guessed, I am a big history buff. With other greats such as Roots and Lonesome Dove, I would not argue with your validity of there greatness. It's just to hard to say what is the best? Everyone has their own opinion, and there is no right or wrong answer. For me, my background and family involves the ag business, that you might see in Centennial with Potatoes Brumbagh, and the fact that my grandfather fought in WW2 in Europe, that I might be more partial to a series such as Centennial WW2 movies and miniseries. It would be interesting to see what others might have to say.

I would have to add the mini series " Chiefs " ... it has not been on for such a long time .. and I don't understand why .. another I would add would be Steven King's " The Stand " .. and " Rich Man Poor Man ".

Not ranked in any particular order:

Pride and Prejudice
The Jewel in the Crown
Horatio Hornblower
I, Claudius
The Winds of War & War and Remembrance
Bleak House
Shogun
Middlemarch
The Forsyte Saga
Wolf Hall

Btw, I really enjoyed North and South, but it’s such a cheesy mini series! So much overacting. Soapy storylines and cardboard cutout villains. I just couldn’t put it on this list.
