Was there any talk of changing the name to Blake's 6? lol
I think I'll miss Gan. Who'll break down doors now?
Hard to say about Travis yet. Mark II seems angrier and has a smaller eye-patch. What happened to Stephen Greif?

I see. So how did that work out for him? Did Stephen Greif go on to be something more?
Just watched Trial. There were a couple things that reminded me of Star Wars. There was a General(I think)that one of the guards referred to as Starkiller. And something else I can't think of now. lol
I'm looking forward to seeing how this Travis-on-the-run thing plays out. It looks like a very interesting development.
Then I watched Killer. I saw those suits and immediately thought to myself "Those guys look like the Michelin Man!" Come to find out they were actual Michelin Man costumes!
I'm assuming this isn't the last we've heard of this plague and the people who started it?

Thank you for sharing these facts with me.
Killer, Hostage, Countdown, and Voice From the Past are in the books and it's time for episode 11...Gambit.
Hostage had the most special effects in any episode so far. The beginning was action packed and was scored pretty well, too. They must have used much of the season's budget on that since they could only afford scuba gear for costumes and Countdown had no music what-so-ever that I can recall.
I'm glad to have learned a little more about who/what the Federation actually is. But what exactly are mutoids (those hats they wear look like giant black molars) and crimos (was that actually scuba gear they were wearing)?

I noticed someone put on Youtube this fan spinoff called Blake's legend.
Have you seen it?

I had no idea Travis had a bionic arm!
Cally had a bit of a Princess Leia thing going on in this episode. The best she's looked so far.
I was a little lost at the end. I didn't quite get what Docholli was saying.

Agreed. The Keeper was a bit boring.
I've been watching all these episodes on Youtube. If you put the captions on they get half the dialog wrong! Have you ever tried it? It's hilarious!
On to Star One!

So, season 2 ends on a cliff-hanger that TNG seems to have borrowed from for their Best of Both Worlds cliff-hanger, even down to the order to "fire". It was really good. They still don't seem to be able to make their external shots not look like models on a string. And I couldn't help but think the ships used by the alien invaders look like wind-up toys and possibly a spin top I had when I was a child. lol
It looked for a moment like Blake was dead and it seems that Travis certainly is. Lurena must be dead, too, right? I don't think they showed her fate, but she was holding the final bomb behind her back as they cut to the others exploding.

Ironic indeed.
No Blake in the season 3 premiere. I don't think I saw Jenna either...
I was wondering if Servalan would find a new right-hand man. For a moment I thought it was Avon!
lol Lot's of jiggling this episode. And some improved effects, too. Along with some lousy ones. lol The red-striped laser effect!

I like Dayna. Her boobs can be a bit distracting. That's not a complaint. I'm getting used to it.
Powerplay was pretty good. Del Tarrant looks an awful lot like Blake. From his hair to his outfit. Was this purposely done? And I was sort of picturing Blake and Jenna speaking the lines Del and Dayna spoke.
Volcano was largely forgettable except for a scene that had me scratching my head a bit. When a male and female Obsidian are approaching from way off in the distance they suddenly jump closer and closer and closer. I don't think they had special abilities, right? It was just bad editing? lol At least Dayna saved the day and got Orac back. She threw a vile(?) about 4 feet away and the impact shockwave(?) somehow killed the 2 guys who were about 20 feet away! Incredible! lol

Funny, I love "The Harvest Of Kairos." It just proved how gutless Servalan could be; her life more important than anything! She could easily be bluffed; esp. by Avon in that sad landing module used to intimidate her off the Liberator. The only thing that confused me was Servalan's reaction when Jarvik was killed. It made no sense, but that was the 3rd season. Found these blogs and sites if you're a real fan of the show.

Oh hi! Someone else visits this page!
Thanks for the links.
I was finally able to watch a few more episodes. The most recent was Rumours of Death, which seemed better than most. I've heard that many fans say this is the series best episode. The editing and camerawork seemed much better. Why couldn't every episode have been given this level of presentation?
The other episodes are not that memorable for me. I find my attention drifts.

Their shoestring budget was even more meager than "Doctor Who's!" lol... I'm surprised they didn't just make gun noises when they shot those TOYS! lol... Heaven knows you can see the strings and poles holding ships and asteroids moving through space; "IMWTO!"

Well, I finally finished season 3.
Did any of you watch this program when it originally aired? Is it true that when the final episode of season 3 aired, people were expecting it to be the last ever episode, but after the credits rolled, a message said, "Blakes 7 will return for a final season next year" or something to that effect?

Thanks for the info. I didn't make that TSFS connection. It does seem eerily familiar.
Season 3 had a lot of clunkers, but it had a couple of the more memorable episodes in the entire series thus far.
I thought the production would get better as they went along, though. I know this was 1980 and all, but every episode appears to have been written, filmed, and produced by high school students. Is season 4 at all improved in those departments?
