Would Blake's 7 be called 'Racist Teabaggers' today by the Leftists?

Or swap it around: called "politically correct liberal socialist communism" by the Righties?

Look at the characters and how they are set up: The types one might equate to capitalism are all criminals (smugglers and bank robbers and thieves) yet the socialists are FRAMED for heinous crimes (child molestation) or branded psychopaths when all they did was protect their wife from a rapist thug pretending to be a soldier. Cally was a freedom fighter, branded "terrorist" by the Federation and ignored by her fellow countrymen (the Auronar).

The sad part is that this show was made in the 1970s, yet some of these themes are disturbingly relevant and made even more creepy. But it's based on inference, not raw fact.

Having said that, I wish your original post had more going on to explain why you think it would be a racist teabagger Leftist thing when there are, clearly, numerous other possibilities that people of all political persuasions could have much fun with. I only illustrated one possibility, mostly as a direct contrast to yours but - again - you didn't allow much for a reader to go on, so I made a total assumption based on what you had said and went with that.

Well, anyone who is for less government is called a racist.

I never witnessed any 'teabagging' in any of the episodes. It wasn't that type of show.

"less government" is a myth. Capitalism is a totalitarian ideology invented by Sephardic Jews in the middle ages and brought to Europe by Iberian immigrants(John Calvin aka John Cohen) Jews.

Political Correct? Another dialectical myth. The creation of the "Tea Party" was done by globalists seeking plutocratic tyranny. Just like Communism was a scam to create the "cold war". Who put all "Communist" groups into power? The Capitalists, while at the same time, financing "anti-Communism" at home. The profit was quite quite intense.

Blake, is that you?

Care to elaborate on what about this show paints a target on it's back for "Leftists"?
You might not like to face reality here, but 70s Britain was certainly considerably farther to the left than 21st century America. (I only assume you are American because of the particular political labels you chose).
It is the reason why a lot of the 70's Doctor Who episodes have a distinctly anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist slant. Also the reason why it was such an event when Thatcher came to power in 80's Britain. She was every bit the Reagan of UK, in any and all ways you can imagine.
Of course just about any bit of pop culture from 30 years ago will have a few glaring examples that would be out of place in today. Quite a lot of the kitschy scifi we have grown to love from the BBC is sexist by today's standards. But that is silly to apply today's standards to such old programing. If we were going to start doing that we'd fault them for the sfx, music and lighting as well.
Blakes was quite the opposite in that regard. With main roles being played by women such as the character of Servelan.

Frankly though, I think you are just trolling. Most sci-fi fans know to keep the politics and religion away from the fantasy and sci-fi. No point in ruining your escapism with the trappings of reality.

If I want politics in my TV I'll watch House of Cards or better yet "The Thick of IT".

Yeah, and Servilan probably represented Thatcher I always thought.

They were an inclusive bunch though, they tolerated Avon, despite his regular displays of unguarded greed.
