So, where did the Liberator come from, anyway?

Was that covered at some point and I missed it, or haven't gotten to it yet? I've been through 3/4 of the series and haven't seen anything about the Liberator's origin yet.

I hate to say it, but I didn't get a whole lot out of that. Rigid, computer-ruled space station, uptight bitches with terrific asses, and that's about it.

It made sense to write a storyline about the origins of Liberator; a "super" ship just floating in space totally unmanned! They were desperate for scripts in those early days of the show not expecting it to last! 
