I just re watched this last night and AGAIN it confirmed what I thought 30 years ago... it's AWFUL!!!Barbara Bach's "performance" is... well... wooden is being generous. All the goofy spy gear that Bond uses is WAY over the top and the plot is dreadful! I guess I've just been spoiled with Daniel Craig's Bond but hey... that's me, and I've been watching Bond films since the 70's.

I have no idea if this worth a 7 or not but I'd even rather watch Moonraker than any Craig bond movie. At least it's fun to watch in all it's kitsch. There's just no fun or joy in the new Bond movies. It's all grit and serious....seriously dull and lifeless. Craig is fine and I like him in other stuff but it's movies around him that are just wasting away.

Agreed. I just don't see the appeal of Craig's Bond. He's just like any other serious spy.

Agreed, they're so heavy now, I know the humor used to be corny but I enjoyed it non the less. My life already has enough seriousness.

Hey, to each his own but I like the more serious, more human and less gadgety Bond that Craig portrays. And, like I said above, I've been watching Bond films since the early 70's. But that's me and thats why I think this film is a 3 and no more.

You're clueless, what are the trademarks of a Bond movie, great chase scenes, gorgeous women, fast cars, freakish henchmen and exotic locales, what movie demonstrates those variables more than TSWLM???? NONE

I have no idea why this one seems to be having a revival among fans in recent years. It is right near the bottom of the list for me, and easily Moore's worst. This is one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.

i watched it today in hd and enjoyed it better than ever. Barbara is perfect as a russian but maybe wooden works because of that. It's one of my favorites but i'm a terrible reminiscer. I even love the man with the golden gun and diamonds are forever and moonraker blew me away when i was a kid and still like it too

I like that moment of tension at the end of the mission when she's about to slay Bond but he pops his cork and all that liquid comes gushing out, so she goes - oh well, f--k it, you did murder my fiance but lets screw now because that was funny!

Classic Moore Bond.
