To some who want the best of modern things, yes VHS is outmoded but not to everyone. I prefer to see it as I saw in the drive-in back in 1978. They didn't have all the computer enhanced imagery like they do now. And why so many are so hopped up on widescreen is still a mystery to me. I just can't enjoy a picture when 6 inches of it are missing at the top and bottom of my TV screen.
My copy was originally a VHS tape I bought for $3 and later transferred to dvd and for my purposes, its superior for me.
