hey, is there anyone out there who can tell me where I might get the soundtrack to Soldier of Orange? Great movie, and I know it's out of DVD, etc. but the music by the late Rogier van Otterloo!! well I can't get it out my head!!so what do I need to do? Get the music and play it constantly!!!!

The soundtrack to Paul Verhoeven's "Soldier Of Orange" has never been released on CD.
In 1977, an album and a cassette tape have been released, but they're out of print for many years now.
Bits and pieces of the "Soldier Of Orange" soundtrack can be found on a newly released boxset containing "The Best Of Rogier van Otterloo". (it's a 3 CD boxset containing 1 disc of film music that he made. For more information go to: www.rogiervanotterloo.nl)
But it's not the complete soundtrack I'm affraid.

Actually, the soundtrack has (now) been released on CD. You can find "Soldaat van Oranje" on a collection cd of Rogier van Otterloo. This CD can be ordered on his website: http://www.rogiervanotterloo.nl/indexhome_pagina.htm

Anyway, there is a little program called 'dvd audio ripper', so if you've got a computer that reads dvd's and can burn audio cd's, you can insert the dvd into your computer and select which parts you want to have.
I read here that the souns is only mono, so you cannot separate the score from the entire soundtrack.
Save it as a wav-file and burn it to CD. Easy.

sharewww.fonos.nl will convert any Dutch produced album on cd. I bought Soldaat van Oranje from them on cd 1,5 years ago. Checking the website it turns out that they are no longer allowed to sell this album on cd because of a rights-issue.
On the website of Rogier van Otterloo (http://www.rogiervanotterloo.nl/indexhome_pagina.htm)
only his composed work, which exists out of 3 cd's, is available. There are a few tracks of Soldaat van Oranje on this cd's, but unfortunately not all of them.
Anyone knows where to get the complete album? Who has a copy of the cd available?
Please help...I'm a great fan of this music. Thanks in advance!!

I have a simple recommendation:
Get the DVD - watch and listen together
Then, you can use software to burn just the musical parts of the soundtrack to make your own compilation CD.
