Does anyone know if the show they were watching in the bar was footage from an actual soap opera, or was it something filmed specifically to be in Slapshot? It was so ridiculous that I suspect it's the latter, but with soap operas you never know.
I don't think it was real...just for comedic purposes....the line about 'don't you remember when you had amnesia I got power of attorney' was a riot!
That was all rather thrilling. Anything more cinematographic could scarcely be imagined.
It was absolutely fake and created for the film itself... a show within a show.
