In the hotel check in scene...what is the song the players and girls are singing while hopping around with the guitar?
shareAccording to Dave Hanson's new book Slap Shot Original (which was fantastic by the way) the song is called "It Had to Be Johnstown" which was created by Dave, Jeff, Steve, Allan Nicholls, Jerry Houser, and Susan Newman. They affectionately called themselves "The Loogans".
shareYou'd think after 30+ years since the movie came out, 7ish years since this post, and the availability of everyone on the Internet, that we could find the lyrics to this song. It's driving me batsh*t crazy. I was watching it yesterday and i yelled "at" Newman to shut up because I was "trying to listen to the fcking song!!"
