I think there is an error on the filming location list. It says "Hamilton, NY Starr arena". I think what they mean is the Hamilton COllege arena in Clinton, NY. I watched several games there when I was young, and it clearly looks like the Hamilton college arena. Hamilton College is not in Hamilton, NY, Colgate is in Hamilton, Hamilton is in Clinton.

Parts of the movie were filmed at the Utica Auditorium. The Utica Auditorium is also where the the Carlson brothers (Hansons in the movie) went into the stands and at least one was arrested. I don't think anything was filmed at Hamilton College (Clinton, NY) or Colgate (Hamilton, NY). Clinton is about 5 miles from Utica, Hamilton about 25 miles from Utica.

No error in the filming location list! The film is mostly filmed in Johnstown, Pennsylvania at the Chiefs home ice: Cambria County War Memorial Arena, built in 1950. The first away game is filmed in the: Starr Arena, in Hamilton NY. Onondaga County War Memorial arena in Syracuse, NY is where the Hanson brothers go into the stands to fight the heckling fan. Utica Memorial Auditorium, is where the pre-game fight occurs.
shareExactly so. I used to live just south of Johnstown in my high school years, and I've been at most of the listed locations (Driven over Bridge Street). My High School Band is even in the end credits (look for the band in Green and Silver. That's the North Star High School Marching band)
