did anyone notice...

John Carradine's hands in this movie? he seems to have been suffering from a serious arthritic condition. he can barely pour the wine at dinner; you can really see that he has a problem with his hands when he's lying in bed having what appears to be a nightmare.

If you listen to the commentary I believe Weiderhorn talks about him having crippling arthritis. And indeed it looked awfully painful. What a great icon Carradine was, and he did some of my favorite parts in the last ten or so years of his life.

He's noteworthy for being the movie Dracula after Bela Lugosi too. He wasn't as good as Lugosi or Christopher Lee in the role, but he was still interesting to watch. See House of Dracula, House of Frankenstein and Billy the Kid vs Dracula to see what I mean. He's a horror icon in my book.
