PG? Not Rated?

I own the Blue Underground R1 DVD of "Shock Waves" and the back of the packaging lists the film as being "not rated". But on the insert, there is a duplication of the original one-sheet that lists the film as "PG". I remember the old clam-shell VHS being "PG" rated, also. Is this a misprint on the DVD packaging or is the DVD a director's cut?

I have the Blue Underground R0 DVD - on the insert it's rated "PG" but on the back of the case it's rated "R"

Actually, I was mistaken. The DVD I have is from Blue Underground and it is a Region Free disc. I had initially thought it was just for R1 players.

But what's interesting is the DVD that I own lists the film as being not rated on the back of the packaging. Here is the "R" rated artwork...

And here's the DVD I own...

Same running times are listed. So, now I wonder whether or not the new disc is a different version than the theatrical release and the VHS version, was not rated for the initial DVD release, but submitted for re-release and was slapped with an "R". Or perhaps the DVD has the theatrical version on it and both the "R" rating and "Not Rated" banner are misprints. Sticky wickets, indeed.

cheers.

p.s. it's great to see both a 'lost' and 'twin peaks' quote in the same thread!
