one dumb movie (imo); spoilers

Boy, this was such a wasted premise. They had a good location, cool music, decent acting, pretty good makeup effects...and blew it.

This movie is scene after scene of the "zombies" getting up out of the water, walking around in the water, and sinking back into the water. Rinse and repeat. On occasion, you will also see a human character running through the woods, back and forth across the island.

Whenever possible, the humans choose to run through the water instead of on land, even though they know that the zombies are a water-based killing squad.

And what of that killing? Well, if one should grab you by the throat, he will hold you underwater until you die. Oh, the horror!

LAME, LAME, LAME

P.S. Never shoot a flare into a closed room - it will render you instantly blind!

P.P.S. Never fall face-first onto a sea urchin.

I haven't seen it, but it does honestly sound stupid. I know people try to compare horror movies based on the years they were released, but I'm unbiased having grown up seeing 80's and 70's horror movies & 60's ones too and I can say w/out a doubt that older horror movies are far scarier than modern-day movies.

You might have a change of heart if you see it. It's not as bad as the OP wants you to believe.
