Dance contest, cross movie
Do you think Baby & Johnny would’ve beat Tony & Stephanie in the 2001 Odyssey Dance contest?

shareI think Tony and Steph were gifted that trophy and actually weren't as good as Baby & Johnny. You can tell Tony knew this when he didn't celebrate the win.
shareThe only edge Tony & Stephanie would have is that they were performing a disco style dance routine, whereas Baby & Johnny were doing a Latin ballroom dance. One has to presume the Odyssey 2001 was holding the contest to promote disco dancing to attract more customers to their venue.
shareHe didn't think they were as good as the Peurto Rican dancers. That doesn't mean they would lose to Baby and Johnny.
shareThat's what I said. No need to repeat it.
shareNo, you didn't. You wrote "I think Tony and Steph were gifted that trophy and actually weren't as good as Baby & Johnny. "
My point is that that Tony thinking they were gifted the trophy and weren't better than the Puerto Ricans doesn't mean that he'd also think they were not as good as Baby and Johnny.
but it does mean that and you spelled it out in your previous response. No need to die on a hill you created.
shareNo it doesn't, because we don't know how Tony would think that Baby and Johnny compare to the Puerto Ricans in this hypothetical crossover. And on ignore you go, so I'm not bothered with your replies anymore. I spend two much time on these kinds of arguments as it is.

I would call Johnny and Tony close but give the nod to Johnny, but I think Baby was better than Stephanie by enough margin to give Johnny and Baby the win.
Sound analysis.
Johnny was a trained dancer with instructor’s credentials, while Tony was a talented freestyler and dance studio student.
Baby definitely had more skills than Stephanie, though I think Stephanie would have benefited from some training sessions with Johnny.
