Sign this petition to get this out on DVD

Hey all, I found this petition online to get this officially released onto DVD. It may not accomplish anything, but at the same time, hearing that there have been DVD bootlegs of it popping up online--most likely of the Netflix-streamed version--I know that there's DEFINITELY a market for it, who would want a better version. I too have been meaning to see this for years--my curiosity having been provoked knowing that Schrader wrote it, and Tarantino praises it--but disappointed that it's not on DVD, and super-rare on video (I think I've only come across like, 1 video store in L.A.--that already specializes in rare items--that has it, and for all I know it may be another bootleg).

Give it a shot, because the numbers so far aren't very impressive. Forward this on to fellow fans you may know, helpful/interested friends, or even people who AREN'T that interested (you CAN sign if you have more than one email address too). Who knows, maybe we can make a difference.

the above link takes you to a site where you can purchase the DVD for $20.

Why bother shelling out over $20 for a bootleg DVD? There are AVI rips floating around the bittorrent networks that probably look about just as good. A far better way to proceed until a genuine DVD release.

well I only posted the link solely to help those out who desire to have a physical copy even if it is bootlegged. I am personally content to just wait till Grindhouse Releasing or Blue Underground submit a release with a cleaned up picture, good audio and some decent extras. I am very surprised that Tarantino hasn't got Grindhouse to release this already, it evidently is one of his favorite films and he co-founded Grindhouse releasing specifically for these types of obscure, forgotten treasures.

Mind boggling that this hasn't been released. I keep catching it on cable TV on the Encore channel. Once a few years ago, and again recently.

if any crazed Viet-vet 1970s movie deserves to be more midely available then it surely must be this one

Still nothing on this film eh, this is crazy! It has such a huge cult following
