Fully agreed. A taut cat and mouse thriller that Hitchcock would have made. Whichi he did, actually...
As far as 70´s disaster flicks go, it´s not bad. It always helps to have a strong script and they´ve got plenty to work with here. Also, it´s not nearly as cheesy or over-the-top as most entries in this particular subgenre, the dialogue is passable with relatively few groan-inducing lines that otherwise were a mainstay in this type of entertainment, and the acting is surprisingly low-key, as well. 6,5-7/10.
