Helen Hunt

I never thought Helen was that great looking as an adult, but I have to admit, she was pretty cute as a 13 year old in this movie. Especially in those Ditto jeans!!! They need to bring those back. They were replaced by Chemin de fir's and then Jordache and finally Guess in the 80's. Anyone remember the girls jeans where the zipper went all the way from back to front-wow were those sexy. I always wanted to find a girl to try them out on!! Didn't happen. Helen was like the perfect looking young teen-wish she had more scenes in the movie. This movie really lets you see how people were-thin. I think I only saw a few overweight people, everybody else wafer thin. Remember the scene where Harry gets weighed- and he weighs 210 with the suitcase and 155 without it and the girl says-sorry I thought u were thinner. Hilarious- I a 5 11, and I weigh around 230-twenty pounds more than George Segal did with the suitcase-he is around 5 9. Loved all the cigarette stuff-the 70's was the first decade when people at large tried to quit smoking. My mom struggled with that all her life. I'm not sure were any better now, with 80 percent of us overweight!! Smoking is still the preffered method for hollywood types to stay thin. Johnny Depp is a chain smoker, Michael Landon, Mel Gibson, and the list goes on. I love to watch this movie because I was 10- and it reminds me of better times of being a kid. I would trade alot to have those times back!!Life was so much simplier and easier! The population has more than doubled since then and it shows.
