Is it just me or does Penny's teddy bear greatly resembles Pooh Bear

When I saw Penny's teddy bear for the first time I was like, "Oh my gosh it's Winnie the Pooh". The way I see it her teddy bear does look a lot like Pooh. The only difference is that it is not wearing a shirt like Pooh but other than that it DOES look a lot like Pooh.

Any thoughts?

It looks like Pooh, no doubt, but it is modeled to look like a generic, old-fashioned bear companion rather than be a tribute to A. A. Milne's bear of very little brain.

Now that you mention it, yeah it does kind of look like Pooh.

Disney films sometimes reference themselves (for example, Belle from "Beauty and the Beast" appears in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"). At one point, near the end, you can see a dear and its baby, both looking a lot like they're Bambi and his mother. I also thought Penny's bear looks like Winnie the Pooh, so it's probably a self-reference.

I don't think it's an accident. Pooh actually appears in one of the crowd scenes at the rescue agency.
