Penny or Jenny?

Penny from The Rescuers or Jenny from Oliver & Company. Which is your favorite? (And this is NOT like a Ginger or Mary Ann debate, for all you sickos).

reply

Probably Penny, if not just because "The Rescuers" has definitely resonated with me more than "Oliver & Co". Jenny's ok, too, though...

reply

Me too. I guess because Penny is in a much more vulnerable situation than Jenny. Jenny's got a home, with parents who are away but the butler is taking care of her. Whereas Penny is a lonely orphan who has been kidnaped by a lunatic and her oafish sidekick to look for a mysterious diamond. And even though she's only a cartoon character, I find myself worrying about her, caring about her. That's the sign of a well developed character.

I say Penny.

AnneMarie from 'All Dogs Go To Heaven'.

AnneMarie, Jenny, Penny... all adorable, precocious little animated girls...and MAYBE Robin from Tom and Jerry: The Movie could fit in that category. But her character felt so shoehorned in.
Ah, yes, T&J:The Movie, they tried to emulate the climax of The Rescuers but failed miserably.
