'it was adoption day at the orphanage...'

"A man and a lady came, and they looked at me. But they choose the little redheaded girl instead...'cause she was prettier than me."

SADDEST LINE EVER, MUCH?!?!
ahhh. I just watched this for the first time and years and totally didn't expect it to make me tear up!

I always feel terrible for those poor kids, and anytime a movie uses that as a way to help us sympathize with a child i end up bawling.

reply

Yes, but at least the kids were well-taken care of at the orphanage. Things could've been worse for them. They could've been living on the street.

wonder if that 'red-headed girl' happened to be Jenny we see from Oliver and Company? (oringally Jenny was suppose to be Penny)

reply

Sure. Maybe Jenny dyed her hair red to get adopted?

The answer is no. Jenny was not even a concept at the time this film was produced, so the 'little red-haired girl' is just that, a little red-haired girl with no connection to any established character.

After having the same signature for, what, ten years? I'm not sure what to put here now.

reply

I was making a joke-since originally Penny was suppose to take Jenny's role as the girl character in Oliver and Company
