I was a 13 year old extra in this movie

And I can honestly say that NO one had ANY respect for Robbie Benson or this production.

They made the mistake of giving the extras yogurt for lunch when filming the crowd scenes, which ended up EVERYWHERE.

He never did answer the question, did he, movie-200?

I'm still curious as to why Robby got no respect. I thought that was supposed to be Rodney (Dangerfield). I wonder if Robby was pelted with yogurt.

I remember when Robby Benson burst on the scene three decades ago and all the hype that went with him. I've never thought he was that great an actor. Not bad, but not necessarily one of the better actors of his generation.

Robbie wrote the script, i'm sure if he felt disrespected by anyone he would have had them fired.

Did you respect Annette O'Toole?

So, you, a 13 year old extra, had no respect for the writer/producer/star of a multi-million dollar studio movie that filmed in your hometown area. I'm betting that your no-respect vibe failed to make it all the way down from the stadium bleachers to the production trailers.

For one it represents a level of accomplishment achieved by few in a very tough industry - a level that few if any around him have ever or will ever achieve, regardless of anyone's opinion of his work, especially the opinion of a 13 year old extra sitting in the stands of a basketball stadium with his friends.
What would he have to do to be worthy of some 13 year old extra's respect. Who cares?

My point is that regardless of how much some 13 year old kid thinks that a collective lack of respect resonated through the rafters of the stadium, my guess is that it had no effect on the work of the writer/producer/star who was hired and bonded by a major studio.

And I talking about some 13 year old kid asked to sit with 15,000 other locals in the stands of a stadium for a day passing judgment over someone who has spent months, if not years of work preparing a project with millions of dollars on the line. I'm not saying the kid has to respect him or care about him, but to state that NOBODY had any respect for him is in fact the voice of a 13 year old boy. Who had no respect? The boy and his friends? The people around him? All of the people in the stands? The crew? The cast? The producers? The director? I've been on hundreds of movie sets and I can tell you that the kid might as well have been a million miles away from Robby Benson and had as much insight as he had from where he was. A stadium full of people is going to produce every imaginable opinion about the experience. Plus, non professional extras are invariably disappointed because they expect the experience to be equivalent to watching a 15 minute behind the scenes DVD feature but in reality its 8 to 14 hours of sitting around watching a couple dozen shots being filmed that make no sense to anyone outside of the production.

Why don't you be more specific with your opinion on why Robbie Benson deserved no respect? Please state the facts.
