I Hope God Looks Just Like George Burns.

I saw this movie in the theater when I was about eleven, and I remember shedding tears when George Burns walked away at the end. Re-watched it recently and wanted to shed tears again, but I've become too jaded I guess. I hope that in the afterlife, (assuming there is one,) when I meet God, (assuming I'll get to,) He looks, and acts, exactly like George Burns in this movie. If that's the case, I think Eternity will be a nice ride.

So anyway, that's my post and that's my prayer. Goodnight, everyone.

Gnovs3-1, Athiests always tell religous to keep their belifs to themselves. Take your own advice. What you believe is what your mind and your heart can make sense of. I respect an athiest for not believeing in God for scientific reasons but I don't respect an athiest for not believeing because God hasn't taken time off his schedule to preform a miracle just for them. I will put it in the words of Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty.

"Parting your soup is not a miracle, Bruce, it's a magic trick. A single mom who's working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that's a miracle. A teenager who says no to drugs and yes to an education, that's a miracle. People want me to do everything for them, and what they don't realize is - they have the power. You want to see a miracle, son? Be the miracle."

Well said, colakid12. God bless. -And God bless us, everyone; even the frigging atheists. -Especially them, I mean. :-/

So, the lack of physical evidence for god(s) isn't reasonable enough for a person to disbelieve? That is the very definition of reason/rationality, you idiot.

Religion should be made fun of. If I believed that stuff, I'd keep it to myself. -Larry David

I hope so too. George Burns deserved another Oscar nod for this role. He was probably the best God incarnation I ever saw in the movies.
