Few good scenes but overall full of problems (Some spoiler)

I love Thriller road movies, if they good they will keep you in suspense from start to finish. Breakdown (I) (1997), Joy Ride (2001), The Hitcher (1986), Roadgames (1981) they all great road movies. The advantage of such films is that they accompany the protagonist throughout the whole scenario - The pleasant ride, the entanglement, the chase and the good or bad ending. All through the movie they make you think "How would you behave in their situation?"

For me the problem start right at the beginning by revealing the villain at first min. I think it's always better to leave the viewer in suspense about the villain. Another aspect that bothers me in the film about the villain is that it is unclear what motivates him, I am not sure if the writer know themselves.

Moreover the main protagonist (Carol) annoying at times, she is a strange combination of hysteria, very poor decision making and incredibly good decision making under pressure.
And still bother me why the hell she throws the rifle at the villain at the last scene πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Positive point is the scene where she breaks into a cabin to call the police and refuel the car. The best part in the movie, it is the only time I felt worry about Carol. For me the Gas Station Attendant guy played by Gary Springer is the actor in the movie.

Overall, nice movie but too many boring scenes, the script could be little better, need to re-write Carol character.
