The only thing about this film...
...that drives me crazy are all the jarring telephone rings. Way to many, way too loud and way too long.

shareYes, and the phones like that were loud. The only thing about this film that drove me nuts, was that Teresa's family couldn't ever seem to use their "indoor voice" lol. They were all yelling at each other, especially Richard Kiley as the father. I think Roger Ebert said the same thing in his review. Teresa's dad seemed like a blowhard, but then that's probably why she and her sister wanted out of the house.

Phones then had a volume control; they probably made it loud for the film for some other reason
